Introduction To Studio Lighting Workshop

Our most popular studio lighting session so far! These sessions are great fun, you will learn some basic lighting set ups with studio flash heads (We use Elinchrom) and you will be practicing techniques used by Professional Photographers.

​This course is designed for complete beginners through to those who wish to brush up on their understanding. We aim to teach you the following:

How to use Studio Equipment

Using Manual Mode in Camera

Lighting Patterns for Faces

High Key Lighting

Low Key Lighting

Using a Hair Light

Using Different Modifiers

Basic Tips for Directing a Model

Shooting Objectively

Using Camera Picture Styles

Live Shoot with a Model

This is a 3 hour 1-2-1 session and a 4 hour group session. You will need to bring a notepad and pen. You will receive worksheets to support your learning and you get to work with an experienced fashion model. These sessions can be held using a portable studio set up at your location if required (for camera clubs or group bookings) or at a hired studio space in either Exeter or Newton Abbot.

Sessions are £189 for a 1-2-1 session to include model hire. Alternatively you can bring a friend to sit as your model and the session fee will be £139. Group booking
